News: Marvel Wants To Meet With Vin Diesel


It looks like Marvel may want Vin Diesel to join one of their many new up and coming projects at least according to Vin Diesel Facebook. Here’s what he had to say:

News: World War Z Sequel On Its Way!


Paramount is now planning a sequel to World War Z after the film opened with $111.8 million world wide, which has apparently convinced Paramount to pull the trigger on a potential franchise sequel.

Paramount Chairman Rob Moore has confirmed to THR that the studio is actively developing a second film, with Pitt thought to be keen to return to a project he both produced and starred in.

News: ‘The Purge 2′ Already in Development!


Blumhouse announced via their Twitter page that The Purge which opened to huge numbers this past weekend will be getting a sequel . The Purge cost $3m to make and earned $34m, meaning that a sequel was almost a slam dunk.  Blumhouse tweeted the following:

News: Michael Bay To Develop ‘Ghost Recon’ For Warner Bros!



Variety has the exclusive on the story, Michael Bay has signed on to develop “Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon” along side  Ubisoft  into a potential film franchise at Warner Bros.

The “Ghost Recon” games revolve around a fictional unit of the U.S. Army Special Forces that essentially operates as the President’s private army, using the latest technology to infiltrate and take down threats around the world without leaving any traces behind that they exist.


Ubisoft wanted to work with Bay “because he is a master at action movies,” Baronnet said. Bay is currently directing “Transformers 4″ for Paramount.




According to Variety Ubisoft is already  meeting with screenwriters to tackle “Ghost Recon,” with Bay overseeing its development and possibly looking to direct. The goal is to hire screenwriters later this month and start attaching talent in July. Ubisoft has the rights to use Tom Clancy’s name in the film title.

News: Jon M. Chu Coming Back For ‘G.I. Joe 3′!


According to Deadline Paramount Pictures and MGM are making a deal with Jon M. Chu to direct G.I. Joe 3. G.I. Joe: Retaliation came out in March and grossed $365 million globally, with numbers like that  it was a safe bet Paramount would ask Mr. Chu back for the 3rd Installment of the franchise. When Chu was first announced fans wondered if he was the right fit after only directing two Step Up movies and the Never Say Never: Justin Bieber movie, but those worries were soon (?) put to rest after the films release.

Box Office Surprise: ‘The Purge’ Tops Friday With $16.7 Million!


After this weekend The Purge will be known as the little film that could, with only a $3 million budget, Jason Blum’s thriller The Purge — starring Ethan Hawke and Lena Headey — is headed for a stunning $38.4 million opening after topping the Friday box office with a $16.7 million.

The film was written by writer-director James DeMonaco, And only cost a mere $3 million to make, the film takes place in 2022 and for one night a year all crime is legal.
